public image for our clients, as well as a chance for our firm to learn
from and contribute to the world around us.

Embassy of New Zealand
Washington, D.C.
The Embassy began evaluating the need for the
accommodation of the disabled, and a general renovation of the interiors
prior to the Sept 11th; but with the additional security concerns, they
determined that the timing was right to move forward with the renovation of
the Embassy's public areas. Phase One Renovations included the
renovation of the Main Entrance for accessibility, the Reception Area, and
the Gallery. DNC is currently developing the design for the Phase Two
Renovations which you can read about In
Development.

Beltsville Headquarters Project
DNC has frequently designed buildings and space required
for use by government agencies not only for actual government clients but
also developers who are providing the space. In Beltsville, Maryland DNC
joint-ventured with Charles H Tompkins in a design-build project to
provide the US Department of Agriculture the highest value for their
available $37,700,000.

| FDA-CDRH Laboratory
While working with our client JBG, DNC converted an existing 60,000 square foot warehouse into a state-of-the-art laboratory for FDA's CDRH. According to the guidelines established by the GSA Design-Build-Lease Solicitation, DNC developed a design that created a consensus between the often conflicting objectives of the SFO, GSA, Tenant, and Developer.

DC-DHS Children's Respite Center
This facility provides a warm, safe haven for children from abusive homes until they are placed in foster care. The feature design element is an eight-foot high playhouse that welcomes the children into a positive, nurturing environment through its color and vitality. The services for this project are among those which DNC has provided as "pro-bono" contribution to the community.
