ROCKY GAP

The following is an overview of a few of our current projects. For more information, please feel free to contact us with your questions.

Embassy of New Zealand,  Phase 2

Washington, D.C.

DNC is currently developing the design for the Phase Two Renovations of this project which will include improvements to the remaining facility including the Great Hall, the Executive Offices, the Kiwi Room, and the Administrative Offices.

Based on the guidelines of the standards established by New Zealand, the scheme will be a range of the colors indigenous to the landscape of New Zealand.  Most furnishings and all carpets specified will be either from New Zealand or which originate in New Zealand.  We will also emphasize the uses of sustainable products which are reflective of New Zealand's national pride in the preservation of the environment.  You can learn more about Phase 1 in our Portfolio.

 Camp Castleton

 Culpeper, VA

DNC is assisting this religious group with the design of permanent facilities for their campground property located on 57 acres in Culpeper County Virginia. The camp program will primarily serve young men and women in need of positive role models. DNC has developed a master plan which is organized to take advantage of the site’s natural features including the Thornton River and a future lake. The Chapel, to be set on the most prominent location on the site with views of the surrounding mountains, will use an exposed timber frame and glass windows to create a sense of openness to the fields and the woods beyond. The cabins are to be organized around a central courtyard defined by a partially covered common walkway system.

Rocky Gap Music Pavilion

Near Cumberland, MD

A new 8,000 seat amphitheater, in Rocky Gap State Park, which will be the permanent home for the Rocky Gap Country Music Festival is nearing completion. The stage back wall will consist of three cedar faced planter/electrical closets connected by fabric panels. In the future a trellis and festival flags will be added to this stage backdrop.
